Crypto heatmap
13 of the top 100 coins are up in the last 24 hours: a broad sell-off. Tile size is market cap, colour is price change.
Today's market at a glance
13% of the top 100 coins are green over 24 hours, and the coins that are up hold 3% of the map's combined $2.34T market cap. Bitcoin is −3.13% on the day and −4.37% on the week. The strongest large coin is Hyperliquid (+15.19%), and the weakest is Bitway (−21.10%).
When almost every tile shares one colour, the market is moving as a block, usually on Bitcoin or macro news. A patchwork of green and red means money is rotating between coins and sectors. For the full ranked list see today's gainers and losers, and for the sector view see crypto categories.
Heatmap FAQ
What does the crypto heatmap show?
Each tile is one of the 100 largest cryptocurrencies. Bigger tiles mean a bigger market cap; green tiles are up and red tiles are down over the selected period. Stablecoins and wrapped tokens are left out because they track other assets.
How do I read the colours?
Brighter green means a bigger gain and brighter red a bigger loss. The colour reaches full strength at ±8% for 24 hours, ±18% for 7 days and ±35% for 30 days, so the map stays readable on quiet and wild days alike.
Why is Bitcoin's tile not even bigger?
Tile area follows the square root of market cap. With linear sizing Bitcoin and Ethereum would cover most of the map and smaller coins would be unreadable; the order by size is unchanged.
How often is the heatmap updated?
