Zcash grants committee drops plan to redirect 98,000 ZEC to future mining rewards

The Zcash grants committee has withdrawn its plan to send 98,000 ZEC toward future mining rewards after pushback from the community. Competing proposals remain on the table, one to end its funding and another to keep the current grants system. ZEC was $1,282 when the story was published and is up 0.2% since then.
