How the dca calculator works

  1. Starting on your date, we buy your amount at each scheduled day's closing price.
  2. Each buy adds amount ÷ price coins. Cheap days buy more coins, expensive days buy fewer.
  3. Average cost is everything invested divided by all coins bought. Today's value uses the live price. We also show what one lump sum on the first day would be worth.

Questions

Is DCA better than buying all at once?

It depends on the path the price took. In a market that mostly rises, one early lump sum usually ends higher; in a choppy or falling market, DCA often gets a lower average cost. The calculator shows both so you can compare.

Which day does a monthly plan buy on?

The same calendar day each month as your start date, using that day's closing price.

Are fees included?

No. Exchange fees for small recurring buys can be 0.1% to 1.5% per purchase, so check your exchange's schedule.
